Why organics like 10.6µm
Wood, leather, paper, acrylic and fabric absorb 10.6µm strongly, so CO₂ cuts clean marks without scorching at the right parameters. Metal reflects it almost entirely, so CO₂ and fiber complement rather than compete.
Mark and cut
This is CO₂'s unique edge: one machine both engraves logos, text and patterns and lightly cuts or hollows acrylic, wood and leather. For gift customisation, signage and apparel prototyping, one machine does the job of two.
Why glass turns frosted white
CO₂ can mark glass too, but by micro-fracture into a frosted white — less transparent and clean than UV cold marking. For high-contrast clear glass marks, UV leads; CO₂ suits the frosted-white look.
Typical industries
Gift customisation, packaging and paper, apparel and leather, acrylic products, woodcraft and stationery, tea and wine boxes. Anything needing permanent patterns or light cutting on non-metal fits CO₂.
Procurement Q&A
Yes. Send a sample and we return a real test video within 24 hours and ship the part back. Key models get a 48-hour aging test, so you see the actual result on your own workpiece before deciding.

We have 3+ engineers, 7+ authorised patents and 5000+ units shipped. Standard parts like laser source and galvo are stocked long-term for predictable replenishment.
Price depends on the model (UV / fiber / CO₂), power, laser-source brand (Raycus / JPT / IPG) and configuration (galvo, field lens, control software). Zhongyi Laser lists the exact laser-source and galvo models on the quote and in the contract, so the configuration is verifiable and easy to reorder or replace later.
Standard machines ship in 7 days; rush orders in 3–5 days; custom non-standard builds in 15–30 days. Before production we confirm drawings, process and sample results to avoid rework.
18-month warranty on the machine. Core parts like the laser source and galvo are replaceable standard parts with long-term supply, so repairs and swaps are documented.
No — metal reflects 10.6µm almost entirely, so it marks poorly and risks the equipment. Use a fiber laser marker for metal.
A 60–100W CO₂ typically cuts 3–10mm acrylic with clear edges; thicker needs more power and controlled feed. Send a sample for a real test.
At the right parameters it will not scorch broadly; it can even produce nice light/dark wood grain. Only excessive power or dwell blackens it, and our engineers tune settings per material.
